One of the solutions assisted insurance arenas in processing claims due to weather related events. With the use of drones, adjustors can now examine structure remotely without the danger of climbing on roofs. The entire process of capturing images & data from roof tops and walls, can be a fraction of time, compared to physically climbing up/down ladders. OnSite allows adjustors to detect anomalies, assisted from machine learning, and process claims within minutes.
Objective: Create research plan to identify opportunities for improvement within the OnSite web application. OnSite allows insurance adjustors to review photos of customers’ Homes/structure’s roofs to inspect for Wind and Hail damage. Heuristic evaluations and design reviews were a good starting point to identify key/critical task flows. Internal SME’s were used as “stand ins” until end users can be interviewed.
